Eirini Christou
Postgraduate Research Associate
Eirini Christou is a postgraduate research associate at the Cyprus Interaction Lab of the Cyprus University of Technology. She holds a BA of Primary Education from University of Cyprus and an MA from the Department of Communication and Internet Studies of Cyprus University of Technology. Her research interests include among others STEM, technology, children, elder adults and women. Eirini has worked as a researcher in various national, EU (Erasmus+ KA2) and Horizon 2020 projects such as IrisPhone-Pro [2018-2020], ENCASE [2018-2022], FeSTEM[2020-2022] and Openlang [2021]. She is currently working on Erasmus+ funded projects such as DRFLEMP [2022-2024] that has to do with Digital Reality in Language Learning for Medical Purposes, FemPower [2022-2024] that has to do with Gender Equality in the Clean Energy Transition and ARIDLL [2022-2025] that has to do with Augmented Reality Instructional Design for Language Learning.

Andreas’ work focuses on generative deep networks for text-to-video synthesis. His targeted methods lie on Bayesian inference methods and stochastic diffusion principles. His work is funded by project aiD.

Theodoros Christophides is a Special Scientist C / Project Manager at NetSySci Research Laboratory, Cyprus University of Technology. He graduated with a BEng (Hons) Telecommunications and Computer Networks Engineering from London South Bank University. He continued his studies and obtained an MSc in Telecommunications and Computer Networks Engineering with Distinction.

Pantelitsa is a Ph.D. student and Special Scientist C-Researcher at NetSySci Research Laboratory. In 2019 she received her BSc in Computer Science from the University of Cyprus. She holds an MSc in Data Science and Engineering received from the Cyprus University of Technology in 2022.

Kostantinos Papadamou is a PhD student / Special Scientist C from Cyprus University of Technology, under the supervision of Prof. Michael Sirivianos. In 2014 and 2016 he received respectively the BSc and MSc degrees in Computer Engineering from Cyprus University of Technology.
Andreas Papallas
Special Scientist C
Andreas holds an MPhil from the University of Cambridge and a BSc in Architecture from the University of Sheffield. Andreas teaches Design Research Methods at the MSc Interaction Design (idmaster.eu) course as well as co-supervises and guest reviews diploma and studio projects. He has worked in various European Funded Research Projects under H2020, Erasmus+ and AMIF schemes involving social change, creative design methods and migration. He is currently undertaking a DPhil in Sustainable Urban Development at the University of Oxford funded by the A.G. Leventis Foundation and Cyprus State Scholarships.

Harris Partaourides
Postdoctoral Researcher
Dr. Partaourides received his Ph.D. degree in Machine Learning from Cyprus University of Technology, in 2018, with a focus on Bayesian Inference Techniques for Deep learning. Dr. Partaourides research interests lie on hierarchical Bayesian models and deep hierarchical feature extractors. He has primarily worked with supervised and unsupervised learning for modeling data with spatial and temporal dynamics, while keeping an interest in reinforcement learning. He has published many papers in top-tier venues, serves as a reviewer for major Machine Learning venues (Transactions on Signal Processing, Pattern Recognition), and participated in HORIZON 2020 and Cyprus RPF research projects.

Nikos Salamanos is a Post-doctoral Researcher at NetSySci Research Laboratory, Cyprus University of Technology. His main research interests focus on central problems in complex network analysis, such as identifying influential/central nodes, graph sampling and link prediction.
Kalliopi Stavroulia
Postgraduate researcher
Kalliopi-Evangelia Stavroulia holds a Ph.D. related to the use of VR in education from the Department of Multimedia and Graphic Arts of the Cyprus University of Technology. She holds an MSc in the Design and Development of Computer Games and Interactive Technologies from the Cyprus University of Technology and University of Cyprus (2016). She also holds a Master of Arts in Education (Education Sciences) with distinction from Roehampton University of London and The Higher School of Pedagogical and Technological Education-ASPETE (2010). She graduated in 2006 from Panteion University of Athens with a degree in International and European Studies. Her research interests focus on the domain of new technologies and specifically in the use of virtual reality, serious games, simulations in the field of education of any educational level. She has also been involved in research projects on these topics, she has attended and participated in workshops, seminars, and conferences, and has published her work in journals and conferences related to this specific area.
Kyriacos Tolias

Dr. Tolias received his Ph.D. degree in Machine Learning from Cyprus University of Technology in 2020. His research focused on Natural Language Understanding by means of Bayesian Deep Networks with Memory. He has published 2 papers in top-tier venues, and participated in HORIZON 2020 research projects.
Andreas Voskou

Andreas holds an MSc in Computing from Imperial College London and a BSc degree in Physics from AUTH. His research interests include modelling of temporal and spatial-temporal data, Deep Learning and Bayesian nonparametric techniques. He is currently working on establishing effective and memory-efficient Deep Learning methodologies for Sign Language Processing.
